Over time paint gets dull, with fine swirl marks and light scratches from washing and daily use. Car polishing, sometimes called rubbing and waxing, brings the shine back. We use machine polishing with brand compounds (we work with Menzerna) to smooth the surface, then seal it with wax for protection.
Professional polishing is not just about adding shine on top of dull paint. The correction stage smooths fine defects in the clear coat so light reflects more evenly. Once the paint is corrected, wax can be added to improve gloss and provide a sacrificial protective layer.
